5. Tournament conditions
① 8 round Swiss system
② All games to be played on even with Black giving 6-1/2 point komi
③ Time allowance of 90 minutes per player followed by 30 second byoyomi.
Tournament clocks will be used for all games.
④ Tournament rules are The World Amateur Go Championship Rules.
Any problems that arise will be settled by the referees.
⑤ Referees will be professional go players from the Chinese Weiqi Association

6. Awards
① The winner will be given the title of ‘31st World Amateur Go Champion’ and
the winners cup.
② Winners of 2nd to 10th places will receive cups.

Supplementary Notes
1. Nationality
Each player must have the nationality of the country he or she represents.
2. The international airfare
The airfare from each country to the airport of the site (Shanghai or Hangzhou
Airport) must be borne by each country.
3. Domestic transportation and other expenses during stay in China
The Chinese Weiqi Association will be responsible for the following expenses for the 71 players and the IGF directors.
(1) Domestic transportation:
Transportation from the airport (Shanghai or Hangzhou Airport) to the venue
of the tournament and other transportation in relation to the official events.
(2) Accommodation:
Accommodation cost of seven nights from May 24 (Mon) until May 31 (Mon).
(3) Meals:
20 meals from dinner of May 24 (Mon) until breakfast of May 31 (Mon)
* Players and IGF directors who for reasons of their own convenience arrive
earlier than May24 or stay longer than May 31 shall have to pay all extra
expenses by themselves.
Please note the sponsors will take no responsibility for any extra expenses.
4. Entry
Players and IGF directors are requested to submit the following documents to the Tournament Office by not later than February 25, 2010.
(1) The completed entry form
(2) Passport style face photograph (jpg color digital photograph of 5 x 5 cm)
(3) Copy of the page in your passport proving your nationality
* Any player who has more than one nationality must provides the one issued by
the country the player represents.
5. Check-in
Players and IGF directors are requested to check in at the official hotel designated by the Tournament Office on May 24 (Mon).

6. IGF directors
IGF directors will supervise and assist the players from designated zones and
countries.
7. Events
All players and IGF directors are obligated to participate in all official events related to the tournament, such as the goodwill match. The schedule for these events will be informed at the orientation on May 25(Tue).
8. Doping test
The doping test will be conducted for several prize winners and players picked up from the list of out of competition doping test.

9. Points to be remarked
① Players and IGF directors who commit any of the following infringements may
have their participation in the tournament cancelled.
(1) Non-arrival of entry form at the Tournament Office by the deadline.
(2) False entries on the entry form.
(3) Failure to send photos or photocopies of passport to the Tournament Office.
(4) Failure to check in at the designated hotel on May 24th .
② Players and IGF directors who need an official invitation and/or a guarantee from the Tournament Office to obtain visa to leave the country are requested to check with the nearest Chinese Embassy to find out which documents are required and fill in the entry form with necessary information. While we will indicate in the official invitation the date of arrival to and departure from China upon request, we will be responsible for the expenses only for the period referred to in this notes.
③ All expenses for persons accompanying the player must be borne by the persons concerned. Please inform the Tournament Office if a player is going to be accompanied by other person(s). If necessary, we may arrange accommodation for those persons.
④ Please refrain from wearing short pants, sandals, jeans, T-shirts or similar attire at all WAGC events.
⑤ Any questions should be directed by fax or e-mail in English or in Chinese to the Tournament Office.
